DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNOLOGY FOR MAKING COATINGS AND CORES BASED ON DOMESTIC RAW MATERIALS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF SPECIAL COATED ELECTRODES INTENDED FOR ELECTRIC-ARC WELDING OF STEEL

The research included a number of activities, which can be grouped into several units: designing the technological procedure for making electrodes and formulation for the composition of the coating and core, mastering the procedure for making coated electrodes, experimental welding and testing mechanical and welding-technological properties of coated electrodes.

Within the project, developed and mastered were coated electrodes of appropriate metallurgical quality according to their purpose:

  • Medium coated rutile electrodes IHIS E 110 R
  • Thick coated basic electrodes IHIS E 151 B
  • Thick coated basic electrodes IHIS E 255 B Mo
  • Electrodes for cutting and grooving of metal materials IHIS SŽ-2B
  • Welding electrodes for gray and tempered cast iron IHIS E 250L
  • Medium alloy basic electrodes intended for welding fire-resistant steels IHIS E352B
  • Basic electrodes intended for hard surfacing of steel parts exposed to wear IHIS E430B
